Alberta replaces the "Estates of the Mentally Incompetent Act" with the "Mentally Incapacitated Persons Act"
1949. The "Mentally Incapacitated Persons Act" is instated, replacing the "Estates of the Mentally Incompetent Act" in Alberta, Canada. It redefines the term, "person of unsound mind" to mean a lunatic, a mentally incapacitated person or a mental defective, and 'unsoundness of mind' and 'to be of unsound mind' have corresponding meanings."
